3 Things You Should Know about the Redesigned ESV Student Study Bible
A Brief History of the ESV Student Study Bible
The ESV Student Study Bible was first published in 2011 and quickly became known as one of the most comprehensive, content-rich study Bibles for students on the market. The edition features everything that a typical study Bible has: concise study notes, character profiles, charts, maps, timelines, and more. But the Student Study Bible also includes content created specifically for students: nearly 900 "Did You Know?" facts, a glossary of terms, an extensive concordance, and 15 articles addressing topics foundational to understanding the Bible and growing in Christ. In 2012, the Student Study Bible was even awarded the ECPA Christian Book Award for Bibles.
You may be asking yourself, "If the original Student Study Bible was so great, why change it?"
We're glad you asked. Here are three things you should know about the redesigned Student Study Bible:
1. New Design
The redesign incorporates three main features:
- A smaller, more manageable size (5.375" x 8.25")
- Five new hardcover designs (gray, green, orange, purple, and blue)
- A two-color interior
2. New Price
The changes in design significantly decrease the cost of production. This robust, award-winning study Bible is now only $29.99, compared to an original price that ranged between $37.99 and $54.99 (depending on the cover material). We wanted to do all that we could to make this resource affordable for any student.
3. Same Award-Winning Content
Although we’ve made a number of intentional changes (design, price, size, etc.), what matters most––the actual content––has not been changed at all:
- 15 Articles
- Over 15,000 clear, concise study notes adapted from the award-winning ESV Study Bible
- Charts, maps, illustrations spread throughout the text
- Nearly 900 "Did You Know?" facts
- Character profiles
- Glossary of terms
- Extensive concordance
