A Message from Crossway’s President
Dear Friend,
This Christmas season, Christians around the world have celebrated the magnificent coming of Jesus Christ into the world:
“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
—Isaiah 9:6
Despite another year focused on the global pandemic, we have much to be thankful for as we remember the unchanging hope and peace we find in Christ our Savior.
This year, we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the English Standard Version, which was first published in 2001. We give thanks to God for entrusting Crossway with the precious gift of his word and the responsibility of sharing it with his people around the world. As Scripture says, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8).
We’re grateful for the many ways you have partnered with and supported Crossway over this last year. Through your prayers and generous financial support, we’ve undertaken a wide variety of global ministry projects aimed at equipping under-resourced pastors and church leaders with gospel-centered books and Bibles across the globe. In 2021, Crossway’s Global Ministry Fund launched the translation, publication, and distribution of key Crossway titles in Nepali, Khmer, Zulu, Farsi, Serbo-Croatian, Vietnamese, Polish, and more.
As we near the end of 2021 and look ahead to 2022 and beyond, we’re excited to see how God continues to work in and through the ministry of Crossway, as we seek to remain faithful to his word and our calling to, in the words of our mission statement, “help people understand the implications of the gospel and the truth of God’s word, for all of life, for all eternity, and for the glory of God.”
To help us continue in the work of equipping ministry leaders for gospel work, we invite you to give to our Global Ministry Fund this holiday season. Crossway’s Global Ministry Fund is a place for you to give directly to support carefully chosen ministry projects, and one hundred percent of your gift will go toward the translation and ministry distribution of Crossway resources for equipping believers around the world. The goal is to raise $400,000 by December 31, 2021, and we need your help to meet that goal. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in this important work?
