God's Word, a Lamp to My Feet

Morning

We know that for those who love God all things work together for good.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.—"You meant evil again me, but God meant it for good."

All things are yours, whether . . . the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.—It is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self his being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Evening

The fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

"I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."—"He will not speak on his own authority. . . . He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you."

God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

He who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.—The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
