Imagine the Impact: An Update on Crossway’s Global Study Bible Distribution Project
An Update from Crossway's President
Dear friend of Crossway,
This month, Crossway has been in the midst of a campaign to send 100,000 ESV Global Study Bibles to Christian leaders around the world, in strategic places where the need is greatest. The amount needed to do this is $400,000.
To date, we have raised $125,000, enough to send approximately 31,000 study Bibles to our brothers and sisters overseas. We are so grateful to the many of you who have already made generous contributions to the ESV Global Study Bible campaign, and we rejoice once again for your gracious response.
But the needs are so great, and because we have the opportunity to do so much more—I’m writing once again today, to ask, if the Lord should lead you, to consider making a contribution to the ESV Global Study Bible campaign—to help provide the gift of God’s Word to front-line ministry workers.
Recently, our seven-member Crossway ministry team traveled to India, where they helped carry out a significant distribution of the Global Study Bible, in numerous villages and several major cities. It has been deeply moving to hear of the massive impact that the Global Study Bible is having among pastors and lay teachers, many who have almost nothing—except for the Gospel, and now a copy of the Bible—as they minister and serve and plant churches and care for those who are destitute, who likewise have almost nothing apart from Christ.
With this in mind, we can only begin to imagine the massive impact that the Global Study Bible is having on this generation in India—and will have for generations to come—as God’s Word goes forth with great power and turns hearts and lives to Christ.
If you have already made a contribution to the Global Study Bible campaign, we thank God for what you have done to help equip our Christian brothers and sisters in Christ with copies of God’s Word.
If you’ve been considering making a contribution but have not yet done so, there is still time to give before the end of the year if you are able.
I am indeed grateful to you for your help—as the Lord leads in His own way—to distribute 100,000 Global Study Bibles “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 13:47)—for the sake of the Gospel and our Savior’s glory alone.
