Family Worship 101: Day 1

Overview

In today's video, Don Whitney explains what family worship is and why it is important for every Christian family.

From the video:

A survey by the Barna Research Group found that 85% of parents with children under age 13 believe they have primary responsibility for teaching their children about religious beliefs and spiritual matters. And yet, a majority of parents don’t spend any time during a typical week discussing religious matters or studying religious materials with their children, instead relying on their church to do all the religious training their children will receive.

Next Steps

  1. Have a conversation with your family about beginning family worship. Explain that you still have a lot to learn about it, but that you believe it would be a blessing to your family.
  2. Ask God to prepare your heart and the hearts of your loved ones to cherish God more deeply through family worship over the next 4 days.
  3. Think about what might be the best time to lead your family in worship over the next 4 days.

God deserves to be worshiped daily in your home by your family.
